Don't bother trying to drop off Hermes parcels there as they only accept what they want to accept - small parcels, although having taken several parcels there I've no idea what size of "small parcel" they are gracious enough to accept! They should either accept Hermes parcels, or they do not - THEY CANNOT PICK AND CHOOSE AND ONLY TAKE WHAT THEY WANT! I've had this problem before where they haven't accepted parcels, or have reluctantly accepted it saying "I'll take it this time but not next time". They are quite abrasive & unfriendly, although they used to be friendly years ago as I have been a customer for 20 years, but of late they have changed. But they make the rules up and make spurious claims about who is to blame, always blaming either Hermes or Texaco, or that they don't have a big enough storage area or that Texaco won't allow them to have cardboard on the forecourt as it's a fire hazard. That is rubbish because a) they could get a bigger storage area, and b) if cardboard is a fire hazard then that would apply to ALL parcels, not only the big ones, so claiming Texaco are at fault is false. Also, they shouldn't be leaving customers' parcels outside for up to 24 hours, and maybe up to 48 hours over a weekend! According to Hermes, they should not be doing that, and neither should they be refusing ANY parcels. They've also said that Hermes drivers will not take big parcels, but that there were many other places I could take it. That is also rubbish - if the drivers don't take big boxes from them, then that would also apply to ALL drop off points - they say other places will take it but THEY can't because the drivers will not take big parcels. It's all total rubbish! I've wasted my time on them and had to drive 10 times as far to another shop where parking is terrible, but at least they took the parcel with no fuss. And it wasn't a huge parcel, just 30cm x 35cm x 40cm. I've also wasted my time, an hour, complaining to Hermes, who were not happy with their behaviour. So yes Woodside Service Station, I have been very tolerant of you for quite some time but I have had enough so I HAVE complained and you've lost me as a customer forever.
