For sometime I have dreaded having to go to the Crawley Down pharmacy when a certain young woman is working. She never greets, smiles says please or thank you and has a face like she has swallowed a wasp. I have just had the most distressing experience with this woman and cannot believe the way she spoke to me. The pharmacist obviously doesnt control her he just looked scared to get involved. As she does not use customary pleasantries I just ask for what I want and dont use them either - this is something very alien to me, as a shopkeepers daughter I was taught that to be polite was paramount. As I departed the store she facetiously had the nerve to say youre welcome under her breath. I wasnt going to take this rudeness so when I returned and took her to task on her customer service skills I was treated to the most appalling diatribe. I cannot believe that this woman can talk to customers in such a manner. How on earth does she get away with this? Why is she not managed? I have used the pharmacy since it opened and always was one of the greatest defenders against criticism. I never want to enter that store again. I will be contacting the owning company but as they are a large concern I doubt whether they will be bothered about such a minion member of staff. Such a shame that this woman disgraces our lovely village with her disgraceful behaviour
