Went to two meeting after alot of confusion with text messages etc. I just didn't find the 2 sessions helpful, was all about what alcohol is, what it does to the body. I was like a education on alcohol, nothing I didn't already know. I think the classes have completely the wrong structure. I think they should start with the addiction itself, how to accept you have this problem, how they can help, what tools and tips we will be getting. Then get on and deliver those tips and tools. Get people hopeful with real tools and help, and save the alcohol education for later. I would like to see CGL's stats on how many people last beyond the 3 sessions. I would also like to see CGL's success rate in helping people stop drinking, at least a follow up after say a year to see if people are still drinking. After all someone is funding CGL, if it doesn't work, then its just a front for Local authorities to say well we have programs for people that need and want it.
