I have had a very distressing experience at the London Gatwick location this morning. Original booking was for 184 pounds and I have now paid nearly 500 this morning for a 6 day vehicle rental. I signed the agreement after a night flight with jetlag after two hours sleep and have since called the customer service number to dispute what happened this morning at the Gatwick airport location. I was charged a fee for being a USA citizen despite the customer service person knowing I was English and giving him a UK licence. I was in the US on a business trip. The car was given to me with no petrol, filthy and dirty and with a huge stain on the passenger seat. It was disgusting and had clearly not been valeted before being given to me. I was told to go and fill the car with petrol myself at a nearby location. Not the service I am looking for after a 2 hour sleep flight. The reservation was booked for a 4 door car with two bags. I was given a two door car and the suitcase did not fit in the boot. Finally I did not find it appropriate to question me as to why I was wearing a face mask while collecting the vehicle. Having to explain my mother is recovering from cancer was not acceptable and upsetting. To then be given a disgusting filthy car after advising I was seeing my elderly parents was also completely unacceptable. Awful experience and completely ripped off! Please do not use!

Absolutely shocking wait this morning for a pre booked car. No proper handover. The staff were rushed off their feet. They were doing both the admin and handover. They really were doing their best.
