I didn't actually end up renting a property from Sussex Lettings but they deserve the biggest shout out! I went to them feeling really despondent after having some negative experiences in other agencies in town, Lynda was EXCELLENT. I can't thank her enough for giving me some hope and being so proactive in finding properties for me. I would highly recommend them and thanks again Lynda, you're a legend!

Very professional and excellent service throughout - highly recommended. Sussex Lettings really care about matching the right tenants to the property and landlords. Lynda really goes above and beyond!

As much as they were pleasant enough to us as our agency they were proved to be unprofessional at times and we spent 2 years living in a property that clearly needed some attention but we were forever repeating ourselves with requests on fixing these issues only to be either ignored or messages not passed on. We had to live with a faulty boiler the entire duration in that house and had to tolerate the quick fix attitude rather than dealing with the issue professionally. This caused us to have sky high bills that we had to cover. We didnt have a working shower until 18 months into our tenancy and rising damp everywhere. No cooker hood or ventilation in the kitchen. It was left caked in brick dust and was unusable due to it being moist and oily! Nothing done about this even when asked. We found broken glass and electric cables left in the garden from previous tenants when we moved in and we have 2 young children. Garage door broken and no key for 6 months. No fence panel dividing us from the building site next door so the landlady nailed a fence post on its side to a tree with 9 nails splitting the trunk rather than installing a fence post. We had constant leaking in the conservatory area and the landlady didnt do anything about it. Our bins were full of builders rubbish from when we moved in. We had to take it to the tip. Broken blinds in kitchen and bedrooms. Radiators not serviced so were not pumping heat efficiently round the house ignored for 2 years on pretty much all our needs. We fell behind on rent for a while during the first lockdown in March/April/May 2020 like most tenants due to no money and we think that we were treated with contempt because of this even though it wasnt our fault. Unlike the agency and landlady we fulfilled our agreement in the end and paid everything back! We had to deal with quite possibly the most unpleasant landlady we have ever experienced and we had very little support from Sussex Lettings. I have to say in the end we were disappointed given the kind of narcissistic property owner who was only ever interested in her money not looking after the house.
