The whole process from arriving to the airport (south terminal), finding the rental desk and picking up the car, went smoothly and quickly. I had already checked in with quick pass and prepared with all necessary identification and documentation at hand. In my case, I already bought insurance and politely turned down the offer at the counter, though it was some difficulties communicating due to the language barrier. I was also asked if I wanted an upgraded car, and ended up with a Mercedes A300d. It cost a bit more, but I think it was worth the price mainly because it had Apple CarPlay, which worked great for navigation and helped me to stay in the correct lane (this was my first experience with right side steering wheel and left side driving). The car itself had a few exterior scratches, but other than that, it was clean, comfortable and really good on the road. I enjoyed the experience driving around the UK, and very satisfied with the quality of the service and the whole process from pick up to delivery.
