I have had a terrible experience with this company firstly I was interested in using them because of there availability on a particular day only to find out once I had booked that the course was booked up on that day and the money had been taken. I have then had to wait 8 days (and still counting) for the money to be reimbursed. This to me is unacceptable and poor. My advice is to look elsewhere for your training.

This software is used for Gloucestershire County Council online Public Rights of Way map. I have used other counties' systems, and considering the intended users, they work well. However, this Cadline system is not really suited for this application - casual users who just want to find some information quickly. A 92-page full-blown non-searchable manual is not the thing that the users need - they just want an intuitive system that just works. The video tutorials are of limited use - they don't cover a particular customer's system (options selected) but every feature of the software. They are also the most blurry i have ever seen. We often get bored with YouTube content that is about 5 times longer than it needs to be. The intro tutorial is to the other extreme. It is gabbled so quickly, with the mouse pointer (with no stand-out colour or trails) whizzing around so that one has to watch the video at least 5 times to make any sense of it. It does not strike a happy medium! Regarding basic 'use-ability' - i just want to get to an area by searching on village name (i don't know "road name" AND postcode - i don't live there!!!!!!). Not possible. It is also slow to refresh after moving and/or zooming, and i have to wait for it to refresh after EVERY SINGLE mouse movement (so i cannot move a larger distance in one 'go' by multiple mouse movements). I know i can re-set the refresh rate, but then i am stuck with that setting until re-set again. Herefordshire's pans easily and refreshes quickly. Also, the Report-it starts with the map as part of the screen, the users starts to search and refine. Then they see a button for full screen and press that. It jumps to show the whole County and loses what was already done. Also, does not show which roads are public (or areas that are open access for foot traffic), so use is very limited. Needs a major re-think - if Glos CC can't specify (working with Cadline) and provide a good system, then they need to work with users. They need to 'benchmark' beside a few other County Councils. Otherwise, it's just a waste of public money.
