Ship Street Surgery

Called up this morning was 11 in the queue. Wasn't expecting to get an appointment. The lady who answered me call was lovely and sounded very caring took my details and said she would put me on the duty Dr's list. Got a call back just after 10 saying the Dr wanted to see me at 11.30. The Dr was running a little late but I don't think Dr's are always to blame for that it could be the patient for a many number of reasons. The Dr I saw was also equally as lovely as the lady I spoke with on the phone and wasn't in a rush to push me out of the door. But I left happy with the medication I required sent to the pharmacy of my choice. The pharmacy had a system error. I called the surgery back to ask for it to be sent somewhere else and within an hour I had received a message to say it was ready. I understand many people have had bad experiences at ship Street. Everyone only ever mentions the bad things everyone forgets to praise a good things

Not fit for purpose , peoples live at risk . Cant get appointment , on phone for least 30 mins , no e consult available , patient participation group comments turned off . This is meant to be a community doctors . I dont think so . Shambles , 950 people cant be wrong . Stories of people of all ages that are very sick not being able to see doctor in modality surgeries

You wait an hour on the phone to get through to the Receptionists who are nasty & rude. Absolute shambles.
