I haven't been for a couple of years because I live 8 miles away but popped in yesterday. A small black pudding and six sausages cost more than 9. I was a bit surprised so expected them to taste amazing. The black pudding was ok but no better than Aldi. The directors sausage was nice but no better than any other premium sausages in most supermarkets. I remember T-bone steak used to be around 12 per kg but it crept up to around 16 per kg less than a year ago. Yesterday it was 27 per kg. After discussing this with someone from Crawley Down today, they told me that the original owner had retired and apparently it's now being run by new people but lots of the old staff have left. It's just an average expensive butcher now as far as I'm concerned and will shop closer to home. I was a bit disappointed but nothing lasts forever I suppose.
