My son has been training at kin ryu since they returned from covid and the progression is incredible. While this is a competition encouraging club it is not forced and is very much the choice of the player and their family as to whether they compete or don't. If competition is their thing though there are so many opportunities to do so and the coaches work flat out to make that happen. We have also seen significant benefits at school and his ability to listen and follow instructions which is important with having a child on the spectrum. I would recommend both judo and the kin ryu club to anyone - they won't find a more supportive environment to learn

Have been training with the club for the last couple of months and would definitely recommend! Everyone in the club is very friendly and happy to work with new joiners. From your first week you might find yourself with someone with much higher belt, preparing for competition but they would always tone down and ensure you are getting as much as you can from the session.
