Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse

A nice place to start your trip away as part of your upperclass experience. My 5th visit to the clubhouse. Staff pleasant and friendly. Spa treatments available but not included. Food and drinks are good, plenty on offer but they will limit your alcohol which is ludacris as you could leave the clubhouse and buy it in the main airport lounge and that's after paying between 2000-5000 for your flight depending on the time of the year. Still I do prefer the clubhouse to the chaos of the main airport.

Pretty lounge but no showers. Bathrooms are nice though. They have both table side and self service available. They even have exercise machines

The service is exceptional, friendly and helpful. The food is terrible. On breakfast, poor quality sausage in worse bread; veggie sausages knowingly served dry by the chef. Lunch, tikka masala with rubber chicken, good sauce and a poppadum like cardboard. Thai green curry served in a mountain of plastic was much tastier with good chicken thigh and flavor (though def not a Thai curry), good sauce but a ridiculously hot plate that dried the rice but still left the center stone cold. Potted salmon good, but with sourdough bread that is as dry as a bone. I must also give significant credit to Virgin for their manager, Dominique coming by, unprompted, to listen to our concerns about the food, for which I've added a star
