Horrible experience dealing with these solicitors as Executors of my mother's will and estate following her death in May 2020. Still ongoing waiting for close of whole process Jan 2023. Shocking. With nothing finalised and finished, completed so one can move on. Instead this firm I feel has allowed deliberately the whole process to drag out over more than two and a half years. Even without the terrible Covid pandemic slowing things down, the length of time taken plus still is being taken is thoroughly unacceptable. I know of no one else who's suffered a family death having to endure the process take this long. Firm has clearly made numerous mistakes from beginning of the administration of my late mother's estate. Which they've flat out refused to take any responsibility for. Denying they've done anything poorly. If I could give no stars here to them in review then I honestly would do. Terrible experience with this locally based law firm, made all the worse by the uncaring cold attitude shown to me by them throughout the entire process since my mother's passing. No end still in sight either. I'm told Bill for their services now exceeds 40,000 pounds, so far, not finished yet. They've all along not treated me with fairness and dignity, and simply not listened to my raised concerns early enough, or in many cases at all. Refused to act to prevent my further suffering. Refused to even listen that I had made a definite written genuine complaint against the way they'd acted in the execution of the estate administration for my late mother. Refused to acknowledge I'd told them I'd complained to them in letter written and emails backing that up. Refused to listen even to an advocate attempting to get them to acknowledge this. Made secret deals over monies taken unlawfully from my mother by my brother before her death in the two years time of her end of life care in a local dementia care home - they tell me admitted to them by him - as a questionable, if not reprehensible to myself considered deal with my brother in secret made. That I consider still to be directly against my intetests, and the memory of my late mother re her stated wishes, if not verging towards the downright unlawful in the execution of the estate. Here the Executors apear to have acted clear out of their legal remit, should be plainly seen obvious. They've at no time in the process of the execution of the will attempted to assist me or take into any account my personal suffered disabilities of Bipolar depression/Asperger's on Autism Spectrum. They didn't even speak to me for an entire year, whilst alone dealing with my elder brother. Which is simply making mockery of treating both equal beneficiaries in the will as equals. Records of the probate show. It was I who had first contacted to let them know of my mother's passing. They assuring me then in instruction nothing would be done at all in the execution of the estate till I'd been spoken with. They then ignored and left me completely in the dark about everything. They've consistently promised me from May 2021 impromptu meeting with them, which I initiated after hearing nothing from them for a year, a promised further meeting which they still have not ever provided me opportunity of. Despite my asking again reminding them in writing of the original promise of. I've felt I had to fight after a year to even be provided the due very most basic documentation of will copy, Death certificate and interim account statement. Which proved to be highly inaccurate including multiple clerical/arithmetic errors evident. And error obvious of not first off carrying out even rudimentary proper accurate listing of the estate contents of value in inventory. That really should have been done. This firm of family solicitors is I feel a personal disaster for myself in the time since the loss of my mother. As will Executors trusted by my mother and myself. Truly terrible treatment at their hands I feel I've experienced. I would not recommend this firm for any legal family law work to anyone.
