Very convenient location if youre travelling out of Gatwick Airport. But the service and hotel left a lot to be desired. For one I did not meet a single employee. I arrived before check in time had closed and was greeted with a note on the door telling me to call Joanne for attention. I didnt have a phone that worked in the UK as I am from Canada, so I couldnt call. I knocked on the door, until two other guests arrived. Those other guests tried calling the owner, but she didnt answer. Eventually she texted back, and said she had sent me self check in instructions. I checked my email, I had not received anything. Eventually the other guest let me in and showed me to my room. The room looked fine at first. But when I lifted up the blanket on the bed, it was evident by the clumps of hair and wrinkles on the sheets that the bedding hadnt been washed. I suspect that the blanket had been lint rolled to look clean. I didnt want to sleep in dirty sheets so I slept in my camping gear instead. The toilet was also dirty. I left in the morning without ever having my ID checked or even meeting an employee. It is a strange place.
