I am emailing as a relatively new customer of Drift Bridge Honda having defected from the dark side (Mitsubishi). I have had, I think, four services and an MOT since acquiring my Honda and each time the service I have received has been peerless and the experience second-to-none. The service team have clearly been selected for their attention to detail and service ethic. The Service Manager, Samantha Barker, clearly leads from the front and runs an efficient and happy department. She is a leader rather than a boss. When I arrive with my car, I am invariably greeted by Louise the Receptionist, who happenstance always greets me by name and with a smile. I normally book the carbon with Joy Miller, the Service Adviser, who takes details of whats required, and where necessary gives me the advisories. Joy works with Georgia, also a Service Adviser, and Michelle the Bookings Clerk, all of whom are friendly, helpful, engaging and knowledgeable. My Honda is always is given back in far far better shape than when I surrendered it. No matter how small the job, it is always washed and hoovered. I really like the Service-while-you-wait option which entails booking your Honda in at an agreed time, and waiting in the lounge area for however long youve been told it will take. The lounge is very comfortable and quiet and one can avail oneself of coffee and read or even work, since wi-fi codes are provided. I seem to get more done in the little corner of the waiting area than I do at the office. I am normally given about 20 minutes notice of when the vehicle will be finished so I can complete whatever task I am engaged with. The technician who normally works on my vehicle is a delightful chap called Daniel Piekarek who happenstance hails from my own motherland. I often think that the back-of-house staff are not given the accolades to which they are rightly entitled; so I do need to point out that he is a talented and hard-working mechanic. It may be coincidence but he seems to do all the work on my Honda. If this is deliberate, I think its an excellent idea; cultivating a sense of customer-ownership and belonging by the technician who gets to know the car and the driver. The MOT area is viewable from the lounge where one can see the technician completing their task, this aligns well with the doctrine and ideology of transparency and openness I have always found at Drift Bridge. The prices are surprisingly modest and represent excellent value-for-money. There are options such as prepaid service plans which spread the cost of your next few services. When the service is completed I am always given a transparent, meticulous and diligent breakdown of the work that was carried out and any advisories by Joy. This is complemented with a text/email from the technician with a video which explains any particular item that they have identified that requires attention and the overarching condition of the vehicle. I often think that the mettle of a company is how they are when things go wrong; it easy to be nice and engaging when things are going well but I think whats really inside comes out when there is a bump. There was one tiny error the one time, and Samatha was all over it from the start and fixed it at Drift Bridges cost. That what I call Total Quality Management. In summary Drift Bridge Honda Service Dept has my utmost commendation. Honesty, value-for-money and transparency. Whats not to like?
