Charles at Stilwells

I was in Crawley visiting family over Easter Bank Holiday. On my drive up from Cornwall my steering wheel started making a clicking sound. I was concerned the 5hr car journey back home could potentially be dangerous. They managed to squeeze me in the same day, gave my car a thorough check and reassured me that it was safe. They didn't charge anything at all for their time. Fantastic customer service and overwhelmed with their kindness. I can't thank them enough.

I've been using Charles at still Wells for 16 years and have always found them to be honest and reliable. Before I come this company I had so many bad experiences and thankfully I found the most genuine and and supportive mechanics company that also have great customer service and I'd recommend them to anyone as I have for years and they have not had any issues either.

I had a terrible experience with Charles at Stilwells. They were rude, unprofessional and dishonest. They tried to sell me unnecessary parts and services that I didnt need. They tried to push you using a different oil. Castrol 5w-30 is a fully synthetic oil that offers superior engine performance and protection. It is more expensive than other oils because it contains more additives that prevent oil breakdown and reduce friction. It is also approved for use in vehicles from leading manufacturers but will offer me 5w-40 instead. They said they don t have that one in stock and 5 mins later they actually found it,even though they sayd" ok, we ll use the one requested by you if you want to use a differnet one and damage your car". They also changed the cabin filter without my consent and charged me extra for it, even though it was done a year ago and only needed to be changed every two years or 20k miles according to the manufacturers book. Also, they changed the fuel filter saying that they used MAN filter, which is hard ti believe they actualy used that one as i was charged onky 49, and you are not able to find a MAN brand fuel filter at that cheap price. They were rude and dishonest and I do not recommend them at all. Stay away from this garage if you value your money and your car.
