I can't recommend the services of Ballard and Shortall in Forest Row enough. I have never organised a funeral before and had no idea what to do. The sensitivity and care that was shown to me, the family and our loved ones was unbelievable. I am so thankful for the grace in which the arrangements were made and the support that they gave me to make it possible. Donna and Pippa cared for Ben, who we were making the arrangements for, as if he was part of their family and gave me so much time and patience that this incredibly difficult process was made easier by the care they showed. I feel incredibly grateful and thankful to them and can't imagine a better service being possible. If you need holding, helping, an incredible serice with compassion and understading as well as efficiency and a desire to go above and beyond in everything they do then this is where to go. I really can't thank them enough for all that they did to make things smooth, seemless and beautiful in a way I didn't imagine was possible. Emma Jackman

A professional and personable team who were very supportive during a very difficult time. Any questions we asked, no matter how trivial, were answered with sensitivity and understanding. The team took time to understand what we wanted and made helpful and appropriate suggestions when we were unsure. They are a credit to their industry.

So wonderfully kind, understanding and nothing too much trouble. We had a unique service at home followed by a committal - it was the best goodbye we could have ever wished for. C.P.J Field were excellent and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Donna & Pippa have been an absolute delight to deal with. They were supportive, sensitive and warm during a difficult time. It was a relief to be able to entrust the day to them. The Director of the Pallbearer team was also a calming, delightful presence on the day... something that eased the tension in the air. Thank you for all you did for us!!
