Excellent compassionate service from this very professional company. Chrissie and Barbara provided warm welcoming and reassuring smiles with excellent support and guidance. Their pertinent reminders kept us on track through the complicated and emotionally demanding process. Then, James and Robert provided calm guidance during the ceremony delicately keeping us within the restricted time allowance. Finally I can highly recommend our celebrant James Petherick. He painted accurately the beautiful essence of our dear father Jim. I totally recommend the service providers of this company. You will be in safe hands.

I should give a nil here score if I were allowed to for this disreputable local family funeral company who were supposed to be our long standing family funeral director who handled the funeral in 2010 of my father Richard John Gamble. (Then attended only by my mother, myself and one of his brothers my Uncle Frank.) Atrocious heartless funeral service provider, facilitators of ensuring my brother's wishes of my missing any chance of attending my late mother's cremation and scattering of her ashes they oversaw. Rang me days after the event deliberately to inform me that I had missed my mother's funeral cremation service, followed by the scattering of her ashes at Worth Crematorium in 2020. All when they had been in touch with me personally in my many phone calls to them of months prior to her funeral, as I was wanting to go to my beloved mother's funeral. Instead there was no one there for her on the day and I found out from a worker at the Worth Crematorium. And not even my heartless elder brother, supposedly organising her funeral, had himself attended. My mum faced her final journey all alone. As I was refused permission to go to her funeral by the service provider here withholding from me the date or time of her funeral. Evil despicable local funeral services company. Not letting me say goodbye to my mum, as was my right as her youngest son. My mum would have been literally turning in her grave over knowing about this happening. My mum's name was Isabell Marlin Gamble. Thanks to Mr David Bason, then working at the Crematorium who oversaw the scattering of my mum's ashes there in the rose garden that day. And said the Lord's prayer for her. Only he attended the service for the Crematorium. And he did so partly as he had known her personally through years of being previously her bank manager at the local town branch of the Natwest Bank in the London Road. My only piece of comfort from the day of my mum's funeral ruined by this heartless and soulless funeral service provider in the High Street in East Grinstead. I will not ever forget what you did. Francis Chappell and A G Rice. For as long as I live. Your heartlessness of behaviour will live on in my heart and in the hearts of many others as a sadness, wound, and hurt. For who knew and loved my wonderful mum, remembering this experience in infamy. The Lord rest your beautiful soul, Bella. Sadly missed by your youngest son. Always loved. I attempted with help of Advocacy services to go through a complaints procedure with the funeral service provider, but was refused any hearing at all with them and they refused all apologies. Saying that in their opinion they had done nothing at all wrong and were only carrying out the direct orders or instructions to them of their client, my elder brother. My late dearly departed mum was your real client, not my elder brother. It was her day of remembrance you entirely ruined. You had one single simple job to do, to honour the memory of my beloved mother. How could you have got this all so wrong? So insidiously and cruelly executed. The funeral costs eventually came out of the estate of my mother of which I'm a beneficiary. So in effect your client was myself through my mother paying for her own funeral service that you wrecked forever. It's not like we can go back and do the day all over again. Where my mum can be honoured in accordance to her prior stated personal wishes of those she wished attending being there invited. Who were not given opportunity to mourne her passing either. And the music and Psalms she had chosen to be played and read out, done so as to her direct prior expressed wishes to me that they be so heard. This sadly is my true and honest personal experience review of this local funeral services provider. So much for "Dignity" as you gave neither my mother nor myself any such a thing at all. A huge thank you to Chrissie and Richard who helped us organise my Mum's funeral. Chrissie you are a star and were so caring and responsive to our needs and Richard, you and your gentlemen team were so professional and respectful on the day, you gave me no doubt that Mum was in the best of hands. Thank you to Francis Chappell for the amazing care they have to our daughter. You not only took care of our little girl, you took care of all our family. You showed us love and compassion and nothing was too much. Thank you to Richard and Chrissie, you made myself and my husband so at ease at what was such a horrendous time, thank you for taking such good care of our little girl Ruby xx

I would like to recommend Francis Chappell and AG Rice in East Grinstead especially Chrissie and Richard for their help in arranging my Fathers funeral on 15th March 2021.. from the moment I first contacted them they were professional and understanding and on the day everything was done with such care and attention..I am so glad I chose this company
