Funeral Director, Karen, is amazing - made the entire day so much easier. The entire team was great - professional, kind, caring and respectful from the start until the end of my mother-in-law service yesterday. We can not thank them enough for all they have done and highly recommend.

My mother Ann, who died on April 20th 2016, wanted to give her body for research to St. Georges Hospital. Knowing this, we arranged with the Co-Op Funeral directors in Three Bridges (local to us) to look after my mother's body for up to 5 days while St. Georges arranged her transportation to the University. The charge was to be 300. Sadly, on the day she died, the University schools were all at capacity and no-one could take her. This was known to be a possibility, and I explained to the Co-op that if her 1st wish could not be fulfilled, we would be arranging our own private burial and would not be using a funeral director to organise a formal funeral. On the day my mother died, I rang the Co-op and informed them of my mother's passing. They told me to call as soon as we were ready to let her go from our family home which was actually the next day: As arranged we called them and they agreed to collect her. However, half an hour later, they called us back and doubled the fees to 600. We asked 'why?' 'What difference did it make that she would be transported to Clayton Natural burial ground by us instead of St. Georges University collecting her? We did not receive an answer as to why the fees were different. The same day, we obtained a quote of 250 from Paul Masson F. D. (Haywards Heath) to collect our mother and look after her until we gave her a very personal (and beautiful) private burial, on the 5th day. The Co-op were insensitive and money-grabbing at our darkest hour. I would try every other F.D. locally or county-wide before I would call these vipers. Ironically, the day after I wrote a scathing email to them complaining of what they had done, they offered to take my mother at the original quotation, but it was far too late.
