DPD Depot - Crawley

Appalling company with a poor attitude, a confused customer service team and very questionable values. I took 2 days off work because the delivery window I got was so vague (will be delivered any time on either of these days), the package was never delivered. From what I can see on the automated tracking system it has been sat in the depot for 2 days and a courier hasn't bothered picking it up to deliver. Now the update is it may arrive any time in the next 5 days. I spoke to customer service and was given contradicting information about the delivery. When I spoke at 8am, they told me the parcel is ready at the depot (which it has been for 2 days now) and I'd be given the 1-hour time slot by 11am (which the tracking website has also told me for the last 2 days) , still no update at midday, I spoke to customer service again and they told me the depot hasn't received my parcel even though the tracking on their website tells me that it has been scanned and I have received text messages to say it has been. If you're going to lie, at least be consistent with it...

Trying to return a parcel. Had downloaded pre-paid label, and the website said Crawley site was open. Not true. Door closed, a nonsensical sign saying about pressing a button - there isn't one. Go to the office entrance, all the doors inside the reception area locked, and unless you fancy kicking one, nobody responds. Went to the Gatwick site ( not far away, in Newton Road) and nobody in reception area, but a helpful young lady responded to the internal buzzer. She suggested I could leave my parcel on the floor close to the area for sorting. I felt a bit uneasy about this, as anyone could walk in, and it contained a few hundred pounds of lego. Anyway, I phoned lego and they said please take it home and they would arrange for it to be collected... very poor show, DPD.
