I follow the MSE mantra, always treat every bank you visit as if they are your arch enemy. Basically Lloyds is just another bank and the staff in East Grinstead are generally helpful and polite, but they will always toe the company line. Never ask a bank for help if you are in dire straits, go to citizens Advice. Banks will only help themselves they are a commercial enterprise. All banks these days are always pointing you towards technology, when all people want is to be served by a human being.

Neither a friend nor institute knows my address and purchase history with more intimacy than Lloyds that I have banked with for 8 years. They have my actual signature on my bank card and yet they are unwilling to vouch for me as a person that exists within a certain context and an extensive history of savings, movements and knowledge of my ID. Beyond all this it's the beurocratic nature of the rules VS a common sense request from a long-standing customer. They are of course welcome to their rules...and therefore my review.

Always queues out the door. Never enough staff. Barclays around the corner have plenty of staff asking if you need help. Surprised anybody bothers entering Lloyds.

One cashier working today 4th December 2018...a queue stretching out the front door..no surprises for us..it's often like that..gave up in disgust...Lloyds need to sort their act out in East Grinstead if they want to keep any customers or retain any form of reputation...hopeless..useless..dreadful branch...my advice..avoid at all costs...and move your account to a bank that gives a f***k
