Provided you don't mind a bit of a walk from the nearest carpark, (it's a shade over a mile but easy going) then you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking location. The views from the castle itself are wonderful, particularly from the top of the tower, (its quite narrow and exposed at the top, but well worth it). Castle staff were friendly and the only downside to our visit was the weather, which just gives us an excuse to go again another time!

Dog friendly, but on a leash... Still worth the walk.
