Very expensive car park - 5/three hours. Difficult to pay unless you have coins (no notes accepted). No WiFi to access payment app. The only machine that took cards didn't work with mine. My bank card kept being declined and the staff member seemed irritatingly keen to believe I had no money rather than accept and the machine was not working effectively. She actually told the next people in line my card had been declined when they asked if the machine was working. So much for privacy. I found somewhere else to park in the end and the card worked perfectly when buying kippers. Nice walk to the castle but wouldn't return. The lack of parking and double yellow lines everywhere is very unfriendly. I can see why it's needed in part but looks awful.

Toilets have been clean with plenty of loo roll and hand wash every time Ive visited. People were respecting social distancing, wearing masks and ensuring only 2 people in at a time. I was pleasantly surprised that the toilets were still open at 5.30pm on a bank holiday as I expected they would close at 3pm like the visitor centre.
