Lazy, poor, unhelpful service. Rude and bigoted. I visit here every few months. They do good business out of my sister and her family who live in Crapstone. But today the owners of this shop behaved like Doctor Jekyll and Mrs Hyde. They were rude and nasty - probably because of Covid, but thats no excuse. It was more than that - completely unapologetic treatment of a customer. . If they felt nervous about serving me because I do not live in the village, they could have just offered to get my goods for me and let me zap my card. They refused to let me buy pick and mix and when I suggested she do it for me if she was worried, she blankly said No. When I asked her why, she replied that is was too time consuming! I was in disbelief- shes a shop owner!! I told her I thought her behaviour towards me was disgraceful and said I would not be returning. She replied Good.

The owner, whose name I believe is Mark, has just brought my wife to tears. She wears a lanyard displaying the exemption badge. This due to genuine and quite serious medical issues whilst wearing a mask. He pointed at the badge and declared that she was lying and the badge was a load of rubbish, in quite a rude and aggressive tone. When she pointed out her reason for wearing it and that there are many unseen medical reasons that other people may have, he merely reiterated that she was lying and said she couldn't use the shop without a mask. She told him that wouldn't be an issue as she would never return to the shop. Terrible service toward regular customers.
