Treago Mill holiday cottage

We have just spent a week in poldhu Lodge which I can only describe as in poor condition with a lack of hygiene. We arrived to a strong odour of dogs which was evident with large amounts of dog hair on the furniture which we had to clean as clearly nobody had bothered to do prior to our arrival. The lodge is in great need of attention with mould in the ensuite due to fans not working and blood on the walls in the bathroom. The electrics are in poor condition with a no sign of pat testing, outdoor lighting not working and the kitchen light hanging loose. The kitchen needs replacing and don't open the rotten frenchdoors or you will struggle to close them again the decking and balustrade is rotten so kids could be at risk of injury. Overall a lodge in state of disrepair which is just a cash generator. Such a shame as location is very quiet and close to a good beach. We paid nearly 600 for this and won't be returning.

The most beautiful place in Cornwall, been staying here since I wasn't even able to walk. So peaceful and the owners are so lovely, easy walks to the beach and close to newquay too. Would give more than 5 stars if I could:)

Amazing week, beautiful campsite - so peaceful. Right near the sea. We hired a bell tent and had it pitched for our arrival, which was heaven sent after a long journey in bank holiday traffic! Ysella Bell tents are wonderful! Highly recommended.
