Bar, pool, croquet, table tennis, badminton, boules, dreamy sofas for well deserved naps after a hard days inflatable flamingo racing. Barbie, fire pit, chimeras and cards before sinking into cloud like beds.
You dont want to leave but we had to burst the Gogwell bubble a couple of times. The spoils were worth it. Halbertons farm shop steaks on the barbie! Covered market in Tiverton for artisan products and local fruit/veg inside and a great fish monger van (one day, cant remember which).
Max mentioned a couple of lovely sounding local pubs but Gogwell pulled us back. With an enormous kitchen and pantry, two ovens and Aga and the luxury of time to get creative we preferred to stay in.
Max suggested some great walks and in our heads we wanted to. The walk through the cornfield looked dreamy or the fly rod obligatory walk along wooded, private river bank but again, Gogwells pull was too strong. We found ourselves falling into a leisurely, lazy rhythm. A week took both an age and sadly, flew by.
The house has been recently and cleverly renovated to feel homely and serene with nothing but table tennis rivalry to harsh the vibe.
A big thank you to Max and her team for creating such a lovely experience.

I have to say this place is absolutely lovely. The house is in excellent condition The facilities at the house give you everything you will need for an amazing time. A lot of the past reviews have only great things to say about the bedrooms, lovely bedding, the luxury bathrooms the excellent kitchen utilities and in my opinion are 100% correct.
The garden is huge and there is so much room for the kids to play, but also for the adults to easily play their games as well.
The Heated Pool is a great size, estimated 15m in length with shallow ends at both ends and an aprox 2m depth in the middle. Again loads of room to lounge about on the provided sun beds.
The house is a very social house with 2 large living rooms with large tvs with netflix, there is a huge kitchen, dining room and table that we managed 14 round (can be more) this then leads out onto the huge veranda with seating 3 fire pits and electric heaters and amazing views.
When communicating with max she will also put you in touch with someone that can provide cooked evening meals. We managed to find an Indian that would deliver, We also made use of the bbq (non gas). We used the local pub (aprox 2 miles away) The Butterleigh inn, It does have restricted hours we booked ahead and the food was excellent.
We also rented the barn as an extra bedroom that also has a lovely bathroom, and a yoga studio this is just a few steps away from the back door to the main property. There is also a kitchen that is nearly finished in the barn.
Their is a games room with dartboard and table tennis table. They also supply loads of games for example crochet, darts, garden badminton, boules, to name but a few.
A couple of years ago i rented a house for just friends and i believe this house would be suited for that group as well family's.
So overall this house is amazing and you really wont regret renting it
