East Somerset Railway - (Cranmore, Station)

Our 3rd visit and as its Easter Weekend there were special extra activities. It turned the visit into a whole day. Such knowledgeable and friendly staff and to think nearly every one is a volunteer makes this special place. The children loved the Punch and Judy show, the food and service from the cafe was excellent. Its hard to express what a great day was had.

WOW , what a brilliant friendly steam railway. Lots to see and do. Special events in 2023 include Peter Rabbit, Paddington Bear, family fun weekends, Santa special, murder mystery evenings and of course cream teas. Established in 1857 then reopened in 1970s. Free parking in a large car park, cafe open Wed-Sunday (highly recommend) Day Rover price 12 Well worth a visit and the old signal box and waiting room and brilliant.

What a wonderful sparkling afternoon tea experience we had. So much to look at and all the staff/helpers were so helpful and informative. I booked this as a birthday come Christmas present for my mum, dad and my partner. I think everyone really enjoyed it. Thank you all for a really memorable day

Great place to call in & wander round. Totally free if you are not going on the trains. There's also a gift shop and a cafe serving great food.
