        As of start of January 2023 the pub business is closed until further notice. This is posted on the doors of the pub and on their website. Pity as had a nice pint there in the summer.

        Two of us chanced it at random on a Friday night looking for some decent [independent] pub grub in a nice atmosphere. Nailed it. Fairly limited menu but definitely worth trying the "~of the day" options. Had the fish and it was delicious, all fresh looking with decent portions. Brownie was good too. The staff were helpful and friendly, was a nice atmosphere and there was even a log fire.

        Lovely countryside pub with reasonably priced food. The atmosphere won't disappoint you. The taste of the food was good but my expectations were higher and hence 4 stars.
