I've had a few purchases now from Pooleys and although the service has been ok, I'm less than impressed with the value for money that they offer. After my most recent purchase I feel compelled to raise this. I ordered a C152 checklist for which I paid 7.50 and 3.95 postage and packing. The checklist is an "own brand" product that is made from very thin materials and is going to need to be laminated to stand up to any degree of real life use. in addition, it weighs a mere 62 grams so the postage and packing seems extremely high, even when the costs are factored in. Sure, I also received a free General Aviation newspaper, but I only added that knowing that I would need to pay 3.95p&p if it was in there or not. This product is not really available anywhere else so there well may be a little monopoly aspect going on but otherwise I would definitely say shop around for the things which are more widely available. Unfortunately Pooleys website doesn't allow reviews to be left on any products for other consumers to be aware of. I wonder why....
