The process with David Wilson started on a high but as time goes on it does definitely start going down hill, can't say I'm surprised at this though as once you've moved in they have your money and you become less of a priority but at point of sale they're trying to do everything they can to get you on board. I will say the sales team have been fantastic from the office, they were never pushy or arrogant onwards customers, I have been to some other DW sites where I've been made to feel well if you don't buy this house someone else will which is true none the less but it's still nice to feel valued as a customer rather than shunned if you like. as a young buyer on my own buying quite a large house perhaps this is why people didn't always want to take me seriously but Renja and matt were great, Especially Renja as I had dealt with her from the very first moment and most of the way through, she sadly got moved to another site a couple of weeks before my completion but where i had a couple of issues after completion, i had contacted her to clarify a few things and she was straight on the case to get these clarified and rectified for me so I really cannot fault Renja at all, she directly would definitely get 5 stars from me. my issues mainly started after moving in with the snags i appreciate that this is what you're going to get with any new house, the issue isn't the snags themselves but the communication from DW dealing with this. as i live on my own and find it difficult to be at home for these, I have to pre plan everything and expect the work to be carried out as promised. the first date that was booked in, I was contacted at 3pm the day before to say that date had not been confirmed and they would be coming round a week later to complete the work, without ever contacting me or asking if I was free for this date, i was just told this is when it will be. the second snag date i was advised by the site manager that everything they need t replace is in stock and will be sorted on the day, he also promised to come round to the house to speak with me on the day, the date came and they have nothing in stock to fix the issues, therefore not completing any of the task's and Charlie the site manager never showed up despite me calling and texting on the day to no response, so this was a completed wasted day at home for me which I cannot afford to do. like I say I'm not surprised at the slip in service, communication is very poor from them internally and with their customers. I would advise putting EVERYTHING in writing throughout the process to cover yourselves. I do absolutely love my new house and I will get there in the end with these snags but for now it is just a pain in my backside that could be made slightly easier if DW improved their service levels in that regard!
