The Blagdon Arms

We eaten a few times here and although the food isn't top notch usually for the price you pay it's acceptable. On this occasion it was not. The service was extremely slow even though the pub was not that busy. The food was not of great quality. We asked for knives and forks and got looked at as if we were aliens. We found our own instead. All bottles of mayo available were empty. The cheese was missing off my burger. When I inquired the polite barman went to check with the kitchen who agreed that it should contain cheese. I was asked if I wanted to return the burger but by this point most of us were half way through eating so cheese was brought to me. The top slice looked as if someone had picked away half of it. The kids chicken strips were huge dry bits of chicken and the jacket potato came without any butter so again very dry. Everyone's chips were hard and cold. A pretty awful experience all in all , apart from the lime and soda. That had just the right amount of lime and ice. We won't be eating there again.
