Disappointed , maybe should have read the reviews before we went as many same the same experiences; Food was average at best; overcooked chicken, if the chips where triple cooked Id say put through a fryer 3x . Very poor side garnish looked like it had been sat in the kitchen all day. Very very slow service in just over two hours for a starter and main . Requested the bill and waited another 15 mins to then go to the bar ourselves and just pay; maybe 3 or 4 other tables in so not busy. One positive Staff where very friendly cant fault that.

We arrived 5mins after last service but the lovely waiting staff said she'd ask the kitchen - great, they would let us order! We all very appreciatively ordered roast dinner, which might have been nice if everything on the plate had been the same temperature. It was late in the day & they did a nice thing by serving us, but when you can't heat up a few vegetables, it's unfortunate.

Always loved this place very warm and cosy especially in the cold weather they stock a fantastic range of wine's and spirit's an excellent range of beers ales and lagers. A place to go back to time and time again and dog friendly too also really good food great bar staff as well.

The food was delicious and staff were friendly. However the service was really slow. There was a long wait for food and as a result one meal was served cold as though it had been sat there waiting for the other meals to be ready. One meal came out 5 minutes after everyone else's due to having to wait for peppercorn sauce. When Starters were served we asked if the child's meal could be served earlier than everyone else's mains on the table and the child's meal ended up being one of the last meals served with the mains. More staff are needed for weekends especially when it's busy.

The venue was quiet and we were welcomed and taken to our table. The service was good and the waiter was very polite, helpful and friendly.
