Absolutely outstanding care given by kind, compassionate professionals. The speed of giving him the assistance he needed was exceptional. The methodical approach and the way they kept us updated was reassuring. If the care he receives as we move from here to face a future of further treatment is as good we will be very satisfied. Thank you.

Just under 3 hours for my entire visit to A&E. Booked for surgery the following day. Incredible bunch of people. Highly clean and professional. All the staff are reassuring, kind, helpful and accommodating.

Mentally and physically abused. Disgusting. The way I was treat there was unacceptable. Luckily I manages to push a transfer to the freemans I which I realised if I didn't I'd probably be dead. I was abused by a whole ward at cranlington. They took videos of me and posted me on social media. When I was mentally sick and had iv's and a drain tube sticking out my chest. I was laughed at. I witnessed students on rounds laugh and male jokes about patients should be dead. Making their round leader break down. Absolutely disgusting. This place needs serious review

I felt compelled to write a review following my recent visit (albeit reluctantly and daunting due to such previous issues relating to back trauma) as the care I received by the doctor who oversaw my care (Samuel Allison) was absolutely outstanding. He greeted me with a reassuring smile and his overall mannerism and care continued to provide reassurance throughout, that I was not wasting their time and validated me being there as I had been putting off and waiting to see if my familiar symptoms eased. Having previously been misdiagnosed and effectively fobbed off by GPs, he thought outside of the box (whilst still complying with his processes and protocols) and allowed me to lead with my individual concerns and symptoms and recognised that not all patients tick all the boxes and not a one size fits all approach. The duration of my whole visit was 5 hours, including triage, follow up with Samuel, who arranged MRI and then another follow up with my results, which is fantastic given the time/cost constraints on the NHS. Whilst my results reassured me that I didnt require surgery which was positive news; however, also not being particular positive around issues it flagged up, I can not fault the overall care and empathy I received which was exemplary and Samuel is a credit to the NHS and a testament to why pay should continue to be negotiated in line with their level of care and expertise and to ensure they feel valued to promote the future stability of services/NHS.
