I took in a silver ring topped with 3 diamonds that cost 2300 and although i wasn't expecting anywhere near the full price i still expected to walk away with 300-500 so you can imagine my shock when i was offered 20p for it.. 20p for a 2300 Triple diamond ring... I have to admit it takes quite a lot to offend me but that was like a slap in the face and i would strongly advise all who are thinking of using Ramsdens to sell their jewellery to please go somewhere else instead, as you will be ripped off. Lastly i have to say this directly to Ramsdens, trying to rip people off during a time of global crisis just shows how predatory and desperate your company is for profits and considering you are still in business i can only imagine how many other people you have exploited and cheated out of money just to fill your own pockets, i know you won't be but i sincerely hope you are filled with shame.

Myself and my husband popped in to the shop asking for a full wish bone ring, the lovely sales assistants Linzi and Emma was ever so helpful, unfortunately they did not have one in stock at the time. Walking past the shop today and happened to look in the window and the shop assistant recgonised us and said she had the ring in the shop what we were after, tried it on perfect fit! And bought it there and then. So happy and a big thank you to Linzi for finding us one.

Tried to get cash for 48 grams of scrap gold here just after Christmas. The woman who served us was very shifty, tried telling us there was only 42 grams (I weighed it before on my own scales and even afterwards in the Sainsbury's next door to Ramsden's to make sure I was right), offered us c.a. 6 per gram (272 was their "best price", despite me knowing that the going rate was at least double this) and then tried to keep some of the gold herself when giving us the gold back when we refused the offer by leaving it on the counter and making out that she couldn't see it (even though I was on the other side of the glass and could see it perfectly fine). Was threatened with the words "well we can't offer the same price to you again if you come back" as we were leaving. Managed to go to my local independent pawnbrokers and got 580 (c.a 13 per gram). I don't expect pawnbrokers to be generous with their valuations and giving money away, but I at least expect them to be fair, especially given that gold is selling at +$50 a gram at the moment. It's clear that Ramsden's are predatory in nature and take advantage of those that are desperate for money. Fortunately we weren't and were happy to shop around to get a fair price. For those who are selling gold, don't go here - they are con artists of the highest order. Make sure you do your research first so you don't get ripped off by the likes of Ramsden's.
