My eye test and the resulting glasses have always been spot on, maintaining my good vision. When I lost a nose pad making my glasses very unconfutable, even though the Waterlooville branch was closed with the virus lockdown, a phone call to the Petersfield branch and a pair of replacement nose pads hand delivered the same day, free of charge.

Mr Billington is a very professional and thorough Optician. He picked up a serious problem with my eye that a previous Optician missed. Mr Green at QA Hospital thinks very highly of him. I have recommended him to many of my friends.

I am very disappointed with this optician. Not only did they leave me with unwearable glasses, when I went back I was talked down to and generally treated as if I was a bit thick. I was given a 'compromise' prescription that still didn't work, and caused me pain. I lost faith and was very upset at this behaviour so didn't do anything till I was sent an appointment reminder letter in September. I went to another independent optician, in February and they managed to do an eye test, tell me what was wrong with my glasses from Arnolds and give me a prescription that works! No pain, I can see, what more can you ask for. Obviously the customer has to do as they are told at Arnolds, and are not allowed to complain. I'm only writing this review as I asked for a refund for the unwearable lenses, and didn't get one. The reason they gave was 'it was too long ago and they couldn't send the lenses back now' IE they would have to take the refund hit.... I will never go back.
