Been with this surgery for over 30 years. Used to have Dr N Millen as my family GP. She was absolutely amazing and could not fault the care and attention she gave for my mum's cancer diagnosis and issues with my own health. I have now been moved to another GP which I was not happy with. Since then I have not been able to see a single doctor due to the reception staff making it extremely difficult. I have been waiting over two months to have some test results back. The reception staff have been extremely unhelpful with helping me obtain the results saying I need to keep waiting and there is nothing they can do. They have gone downhill in my opinion.

I must be very lucky because whenever I have needed an appointment or for my children weve been dealt with really quickly and efficiently with really helpful staff. Once they couldnt help due to staff sickness, but that was a one off. To be fair most of our interactions are with the nursing team but couldnt ask for more from a dr surgery so far, with all the help weve had (me and the kids). Interesting to note however that my husband (who works full time) finds the practice really frustrating with the call waiting times (these are long) and the lack of dr availability and feels like hes had a very different service than the one I experienced. I have taken away one star because they do seem understaffed and that a lot of the drs appear to be very part time so if its not your drs day to be in youre not going to see anyone unless its an emergency.

Hopeless! I get a repeat prescription approximately every 4-5 weeks. Over the last four months it has been rejected 3 times for reasons unknown. On the last "rejection" i went to the reception to ask why? They didn't know, as my prescription was with a Doctor, not my Doctor as he is on holiday until the 25th August. This was on Wednesday 3rd August. I then got back to work and received a text, telling me to book an appointment. I can only book said appointment on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday mornings!! Utter frustration, they are the most useles, uncaring collection of individuals i have ever known. if this was a business .i.e. if they were selling products rather than actullay being needed, they would have gone bust years ago. Complete rubbish! Additional. So, Thursday (6th April) last week, my repeat prescription was rejected for the fourth time in total. I called into the Doctors to see why. I was told that it was up for a yearly review? Well from the 3rd August 2022 to 6th April 2023 isnt a year?? I telephoned the Doctors today (12th April) after being on hold for 25 minutes, only to be told that the Doctor would call me Saturday (15th April). I informed the receptionist that I have actually run out, but this doesnt speed up the process at all! So now I have to wait for a call Saturday, then wait for him to do the prescription his end. So with the wind in the right direction, we should (keeping everything crossed) have a prescription at the Chemist by Monday. They will have to order it, so we are looking at Tuesday 18th April at best. I just cant believe in this day and age that this takes so teeth grindingly long. As another note, when I go to the Chemist to get my prescription, sometimes even when on my APP it say Approved they still dont have it. In the Chemist they have even said to me on multiple occasions let me guess, Oaks by any chance?. Just despair, utter despair!
