Patient since birth. Recently left. Service was always very good and staff were friendly. However, it has become a money making farce and dentists no longer care about your needs, only whether you are lining the practice's pocket. Consistently had wisdom tooth problems over the years. Always explained that I wanted one of them removed as became agonising most days. Every time I went in, I was always given self-care treatment advice (which is fine but only for so long). Recently, was dismissed an emergency appointment due to a late 15 payment. Yes, it is a missed payment (which was paid for prior to contacting for the emergency appointment) but it is 15 and I was a patient since birth. Where is the duty of care and understanding of personal circumstances/situations? No other member of the dentistry team was willing to see me so I had to contact 111 and find alternative treatment. Fast forward several weeks later, where I was again having problems with my wisdom tooth and I was made aware that I had been made inactive and that no member of the team was willing to see me. I was, once again, given self-care advice. I contacted 111 and they explained that the dental practice have a duty of care and must see you within 48 hours. This has not happened. Unless you're spending big money, they just do not want to know. I am a very understanding person and can appreciate the business aspect but the treatment I have received has been appalling. Please stay clear.
