Crickley Hill Country Park

Went there today for the first time, very impressed with park itself and lovely food and coffee in cafe. Well recommended

PAY AS SOON AS YOU PARK!!! I recieved a 60 PCN from Minster Baywatch After I parked up, I checked the machine which stated you could pay after leaving and I did so (It's only 2) however a few weeks later I received a PCN. Unsuccessfully contested it and had to bite the bullet and pay up. Otherwise I really recommend the view from the hill especially on a sunny day or at sunrise and sunset

If travelling by car be aware that the carpark is camera controlled and if overstayed will be heavily fined. For our family from Cheltenham after a nice reunion after many years four of us were all fined. Crickley outsource to private contractors, like many carparks are, and there is no discretion to consider situations like ours and perhaps yours too. Perhaps Crickley operators or Trust may want to reconsider their contract with the carpark contract operators to give some discretion to situations like ours. Avoid going here with a car. That said, I would go to nearby Leckhampton as an alternate as it has better forested trails, interesting heritage and a mix of open heath with speccy views.
