Walkability: lovely walks lots of footpaths to choose from. We walked to Cowden on the footpath by the Church and Pub at Markbeech. Food & drinks: very close to 3 pubs all within easy walking distance

Upon arrival we were met by a lovely man who welcomed us. Upon arrival you come to a what looks like a scrap yard (do not let this discourage you! It was old tractors that had no impact on our stay nor did we see it once pitched. The man advised us go stay at the top of the hill for the views. I am so glad we did because it was just so so beautiful. Especially as the sun had set. We went as a family with 2 young children. The field was lovely, as well as surrounded by woods. What I love about this place is that the owners do not over fill this field. It's not to earn lots of profit, it's for people to truly be at one with nature. There was soo much space per tent. It was wonderful. Also by your pitch up, you get a fire grate where you can make your fire which we adored. For wood and fire starter only costs 6 for a large bag. I must add, we ran out quite late and the man who assisted us was so kind and retrieved us more. Watching all the glows of camp fires and the beautiful scenery was such a moment. As you're surrounded by woods, we ventured out and walked through and it is surrounded in budding blue bells and I just know how gorgeous that will be when they come out! There's also a pond. We stayed at the farm field. What I loved about this site is that there is just one very visable entrance which gave us piece of mind whilst the children played. The toilets were extremely clean and far better than anticipated as well as the showers. The only thing I would love to see if lighting for the toilets at night. Being female and having to go alone at night was difficult for me. Maybe some solar lights to show the entrace way would be great. Again, I so highly recommend this welcoming place. We've booked again for next weekend!
