1. After you bought the car and when the problem arose, the sales person usually had left the company. Therefore all his/her promise would not be honoured.
2. Nissan GB gives free map up grade but you have to pay Westway Coventry 120 unless you contact Nissan GB.
3. 12 months repair guarantee promised by Westway Coventry could not be fulfiled because the same problem occurred usually was not the part they repaired. Even if it was, they chose to forget it unless you had the receipt.
The car I bought was just before pandemic so it was not used that much at all but I did spend so many weeks to deal with WestWay Coventry including two general managers. I could not remember how many times I had visited the company.
One TPMS had never been fixed during warranty period although I visited numerous times. EML warning light was on intermittently.
First major repair for both issues cost over 550. The car was also kept in their garage over a week. This led me to have no car during my Easter holiday. Just a week later after fix both issues came back. Then I brought the car back and they diagnosed it. A service advisor was very happy and told me that I had to pay another 800. I asked how about the guarantee and the answer was that it was other part failed as you could expect. I asked whether you could guarantee to fix it and answer was no. On the way back, all four TPMS could not be detected. I asked the dealer why it was only one failure after diagnosis it became all four TPMS. Their reply was not their fault. I had to contact Nissan GB. Nissan GB kindly got this resolved.
Within 12 months, both issues came back. The car was back to Westway Coventry. This time, of course, was 'other' part caused the same problem and it cost another 500. Luckily Nissan GB stepped in.
The car was serviced by Nissan dealer all the time. We had a few Nissan before this one. Unfortunately with Westway Coventry this car became the last one. It was very stressful to deal with them. I also had to take time off to repair the car for the same problems again and again. Everyone in my workplace knew how 'good' this car was.
They do not value their customers but they do know the value of their customers!
I wish Nissan GB reconsider Westway's dealership contract when it is due.
Good luck for both the company and their customers!
