I came here in April this year and had my hair done by the owner and as it was done very well I returned for a maintenance appointment. Unfortunately, on my return visit I have never been spoken to in such a rude manner at a hairdressers in my life, I would now definitely not recommend here. Firstly my appointment was at 3:30, I arrived for this on time and was told that she would be 5 minutes as she was finishing someone else off. I didnt sit down into the chair until 3:55. I wasnt very impressed as I had rushed out of work to be there on time. My hair was done and the foils taken out followed by the application of the toner - by now it is 6:00 pm. I was told that it would be left in for 5 /10 minutes as she finished off another clients hair. I was also told Id be gone by 6:30. However, she did not come back to start the washing process until 6:25 pm. Bearing in mind that I had had to wait 25 minutes when I arrived this was not overly impressive. I received no apology for this and her mood had certainly changed. My hair wasnt conditioned/massaged properly and I felt she just wanted me gone. When I came to pay I was told it was 95. When I had come in before I was told future maintenance appointments would be 70. I can understand that prices can increase however this was a rise of nearly 33% which to me is slightly excessive. When I questioned this she became very rude and told me I was being rude for questioning the price, that hairdresser time was different to normal time, that maybe she had said 70 because that didnt include blow dry (why would I walk out of a salon with wet hair?!). I had to be home by 7 and through no fault of my own was running late so I neither had the time nor the inclination to fight this point as I had been there for 3 and a half hours so I paid the 95. At the end of the day of course things dont always go to plan and mistakes are made. However it was her extremely poor customer service - I just about managed to get a very sarcastic sorry from her and this poor attitude has made me decide not to return. If you are the owner of a business you need to be able to have the correct attitude in dealing with your customers. Hers was extremely rude and condescending. Under no circumstances should I have been spoken to like that when ultimately what did I do wrong here? I am the paying customer and, as such, I am allowed to question the price of what Im paying for. Such a disappointing experience and one I will certainly not be repeating. Not recommended which is very sad as I do like to support my local businesses. Service: Hair coloring
