Tollgate Coventry

We had a reunion in Coventry Friday 28th April till Monday 1st May. We went to the Tollgate for Breakfast. Brilliant staff they catered for a large group and the breakfast was lovely. The staff friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this place.

Visited on a busy Bank Holiday for a carvery. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. It was apparent the staff were stretched but Rob in particular, serving the carvery was very professional and nothing was too much trouble. I had also ordered a take away carvery and he remembered and made sure it was prepared and ready for when we had finished. Thank you again to Rob and the team for an enjoyable visit.

Very underwhelmed and disappointed with this carvery. This is the first and last time I will visit the tollgate. Didn't have the full carvery menu of meats so basically had turkey and gammon. The turkey was dry, the gammon seemed slightly undercooked and the whole meal was warm at best. The best thing for me about the meal was my glass of lemonade. Next time I go for a carvery I will travel the extra distance and go to the Walsgrave Stonehouse as we are always guaranteed good quality there. Two stars is being generous on my part.
