Ringway House

While I dont often post reviews I feel the need to express my frustration and anger with this student village accommodation. Currently its the middle of the summer and the temperatures in the rooms are exceeding 35 degrees. Many of us are working professionals and students who are trying to study or work remotely. It is impossible to work due to the heat in the rooms. There is no AC(oh wellexcept the common room) at all and people are generally not feeling well due to which I assume are signs of heat stroke. We have all gathered evidence of the high temperatures measured in our rooms and have sent that to the building managers/owners who have basically refused to help suggesting to keep the blinds shut and open the windows. (which makes absolutely no difference in my case). The building is so well insulated that the temperature barely drops down a few degrees during the night so dont be fooledif its hot during the dayyoull slowly roast at night too. Think a green house. I have personally have had to buy a 250GBP portable air conditioner in order to make the room feel somewhat liveable. Mind you this is installed by the window which has left me with no space to work at the desk. Some of the tenants have to sleep with their doors open which is not at all safe in my opinion. Despite the good looks of the building and the rooms I really cannot recommend you move here especially during the summer months. On the other hand the location is central and very accessible; the staff has generally been very helpful and friendly with my queries.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Better to stay in a green house than in here.
