I can highly recommend PJK Contracts Ltd. They were assigned to us via our home insurance company due to damage to the bedroom ceiling which was caused by an issue with the roof. Ben came originally to put up a new ceiling for us and plaster it. We then unfortunately had a delay which set us back a few weeks but PJK were very accommodating about this and rearranged the date for the decorating to be done. Gary came to do the decorating, both him and Ben have been very professional, friendly and have done the work to a very high standard. They turned up when expected and respected our property. I can highly recommend PJK to anyone. Also a big thank you to Anna who was the one who booked everything in for us, and was patient with me being such a worry wart as we have been let down in the past by other contractors, so we do struggle to trust in them but really reassuring to know there are good ones still out there.

PJK Contracts helped to take all the stress away after a horrible fire left our house in tatters. Chris worked with our insurance company to get all the restoration arranged and all the tradesmen that attended were professional and worked hard to get the house back in order. Would definitely recommend PJK to others that may be unfortunate enough to be in a similar situation in the future.

PJK were provided to us by our Insurance companies loss adjusters, who then contracted PJK. Needless to say, communication extremely poor, no programme of works, and when the work did happen, it was a hap hazard approach with no method statement and project planning as well as starting 1 month later than advised. This is only that start of the story. Whilst the team provided, polite and respectful, it was clear that parts of their workmanship is more than questionable. The kitchen fitter whilst experienced, was not a trained electrician and nor Gas Safe registered and turned off and disconnected the mains gas and decommissioned our old gas appliance which was required to be removed and then reinstalled. Upon reinstallation this was reinstalled by the same person without any certification and or then a trained person to then certificate the work and provide up to date testing documents. This is completely unacceptable considering the whole kitchen had been installed and to this day since July, we can not use the appliance for fear of it not having been installed correctly and trust it has been regulated properly. Their plaster whilst a trades person in this discipline was then used to tile the kitchen, for which the workmanship and knowledge was not in his expertise and quite frankly, left the kitchen in a sorry state, the work rushed and damaged the brand new sink and hob that had been installed (but not tested or certified). When raising this with the directors of the company, straight away without using the kitchen environment, they completely denied this, despite their own team being on site and witnessing the poor workman ship. There are defects all over the kitchen and we eventually refused to have them back in to complete the works, as trying to communicate with the directors on a real person level was hard and at every turn, providing poor excuses. Communication then seized to exist becuase I questioned their workman ship and as a result they left us with an incomplete kitchen, gas appliance installed untested and certified, 5 out of 7 plug sockets have been left hanging off the wall, and again, electrics touched by persons who are not certified to handle and manage the integrity of your home. Overall, they have added to the stress of having a kitchen installation, created more issues, compromised the integrity of our home, making it unliveable never mind unlovable. Whether it's a lack of expertise within their company or trained professionals, the poor attitude of their directors leads to them cutting corners and their team who are on the cold hard face of the work, leads to their own workmanship being compromised becuase of cost cutting measures, is simply quite inexcusable. Whether for an insurance job or for private work, I would not recommend them and would run more than a country mile away from their poor attitude to their work and ultimately they'd compromise the safety of your home or business.
