Highly recommend Jacob. Trusted, knowledgable builder who put me in touch with the architect to come up with plans to renovate our loft into a master bedroom. Jacob worked throughout with his team who I found to be polite and courteous when working in our home. A fair price too compared to other builders in the area. 5 stars!

Jacob and the team were courteous and polite from start to finish, they were prompt and punctual keeping us updated every step of the way. In terms of cost we found them to be competitive and good value for money. We had some building work done as well as a bathroom renovation and they made helpful suggestions for extras that we had not even considered even though it meant more work for them to do and it was no hassle. It is clear that they know what they are doing and care about their work as they seemed as excited about our project as we were. Even after the majority of the work was finished they quickly responded to any questions or little things we wanted changing to ensure everything was absolutely perfect. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends and will be asking them to complete further work that we require in the future.

We used Jacob recently to convert an internal garage. Knocking the wall through between the existing kitchen and garage and installing a new kitchen, creating a larger open plan kitchen diner. We initially spent months obtaining various quotes for the job, receiving some ridiculously high costs and some very questionable low ones. My husband came across Jacob on CheckaTrade and from initially quoting to final delivery, Jacob and his team were attentive and helpful. He was super flexible and helpful when it came to quoting, breaking out the cost of different elements so that we could balance the work being done versus what we were able to afford. Where other tradesman quoted one price for the job and were inflexible with any change, Jacob arranged a further quote visit to discuss the job in more detail and proactively suggested ways that we could achieve what we were looking to within the budget we had, with suggestions to change flooring type, remove decorating etc. His quote was competitive as a result and we really appreciated the advice as it covered things we hadn't thought of. The quality of work carried out by Jacob and his team is great, even building control commented on how good the work was every time they visited throughout the project. In particular, Tom the carpenter did a fantastic job installing the kitchen and Jake became a new best buddy for our large dog, who's now depressed his building friends don't come every day! Jacob fixed all snagging issues, which were general things to be expected and nothing to do with the quality of workmanship, but he was always quick to respond and resolve. He went out of his way to help us fix an issue which had arisen due to a mistake by Howdens who supplied the kitchen and then refused to rectify. This was out of scope of the project, but Jacob took ownership and helped resolve the issue without additional cost or trouble. He always worked full days, not like some trades who clock off after lunch. Him and his team were always respectful of being in our home and we found them all to be really trustworthy. He was very receptive to feedback and patient when dealing with our constant questions and my husbands OCD-ness. The finished job is brilliant and we've had so many compliments from friends and family. At the beginning, we just had a vision of what we wanted but Jacob really brought that to life. All within the quoted time frame and budget! The pictures speak for themselves (included before and after). We also really liked the fact that Jacob takes his own pictures and documents the process, we now have various instagram videos showing the journey behind the scenes which we wouldn't have been able to capture ourselves. We would not hesitate to use Jacob again for future projects on the house and would 110% recommend him to anyone looking for general building work. Had Jake and his team out to build a double story extension. Fantastic workmanship, would not recommend anyone else.
