I am 18 and a music student and a learning saxophone player I have been learning with Nathan for 6 months and he has helped me with multiple different skills mainly saxophone technique but other skills such as reading sheet music and music theory as well I am very happy with the value and success of Nathan's lessons. I would definitely recommend Nathan's lessons any aspiring sax player

I started lessons with Nathan in September as an adult beginner saxophonist and would highly recommend him as a teacher. He's really patient, encouraging and engaging, with just the right degree of humour. I've been particularly impressed at how he handles online teaching with a complete beginner (even navigating long distance instrument repair after I managed to bash it). Pleasantly surprised that I'm already able to play simple duets with my kids. So glad I finally took the lockdown plunge and started to learn - a real highlight in a bonkers year.

I took up the tenor saxaphone as a beginner at the beginning of the first lockdown in May. After 6 weeks of following a range of u-tube style lessons I realised that I needed a teacher! I contacted Nathan, we scheduled a trial lesson over Zoom and I havent looked back! As an adult learner Nathan has been brilliant. Patient and encouraging, his enthusiasm is infectious and I feel I have developed significantly in the time considering the limitations imposed by the pandemic. An aspect I value in the longer format lessons is being able to take advantage of Nathans depth of knowledge around jazz and the tenor sax. Spending a few minutes talking around the subject, whether its jazz saxophonists, all aspects of the instrument, jazz theory, the standards, etc. is worth its weight in gold to me and one reason why I look forward to our lessons. Nathan uses a range of audio technology to enhance the Zoom experience and I dont feel I have missed out not being taught face-to-face which wouldnt be possible as I live 4hrs travel away! I cannot recommend Nathan highly enough for adult learners. He is excellent!
