Went there to see a vehicle, questioned why engine was already warm, was told they had to move it to front of forecourt (maybe 10m). Mileage was 1,800 higher than stated in ad. Some LCD bars missing from central display and lost electrics during inspection. Was told probably because I had door open and interior light was on for 30 mins told them that was unlikely with a healthy battery. They jump-started and I took for test drive. Asked for copy of pre-sale service paperwork but told there wasn't any, as just a fluids & filters change. New front tyre fitted at time of pre-sale MOT (1 x 'Sunny'). Told them I would buy if new battery fitted, which they did. Did my car tax online for me and gave me a replacement they had for a cracked indicator lens. Noticed noise from starter motor when starting from cold the following day, which did not happen when warm - was told this wasn't happening while they had the car, but not to worry, as covered by warranty. Had it inspected at my local garage and asked them to also check alternator. Told alternator was fine, but starter motor failing and 'new' battery almost at the end of its life and needed replacing. Wheel alignment also needed correcting (not covered by warranty). Submitted estimate to warranty company, who gave authorisation for work to proceed. *IMPORTANT: warranty only covered up to 50 ph labour costs and only pay flat rate of 50.00 for supply & fit of battery. Also do not cover diagnostic charges, but you can't get works authorisation until diagnostics carried out. So this repair cost me 202.77. Had hoped that new battery would cure LCD display, but did not. Also, revs dropping very low when pulling away and slowing down, so had to go back in. Throttle bodies needed cleaning, which was covered in diagnostic charge. Display issue would need to be outsourced but likely to be expensive, so decided not to pursue. This diagnostic charge cost me 122.09 and was also not covered under warranty. Warranties are supposed to be for long-term peace of mind, not as a short-term safety net for issues present at point of sale - particularly when it leaves you out of pocket.

Buying a car from Vic and Spncer was a painless experience. They were friendly but not pushy. They delivered the car to us to make life easier and the 1 year warranty has given us piece of mind. Our son is delighted with his new car.

Bought a car in June 2022. AMC forgot to provide the service history and said we could return to pick it up, however every time I try to contact them they ignore all emails. If you call the office they say to text them and then dont respond to the text. I still haven't heard back from them despite multiple emails. They have clearly misplaced the service history, or never had it in the first place, which will hugely devalue my car when coming to re-sell it. Also when test driving the car we noticed a problem with the brakes, which they claimed they had tested and were fine. However a month into owning the car I had to get all new brake pads for 600. Would avoid using this company at all costs.
