    Called him to quote for running a full new gas pipe from the meter to where I wanted to replace an electric cooker with a gas one. He quoted 180 which I thought was a good price for having to run about 5 meters of pipe. On the day of the job he turned up late. I had taken out the electric cook and realised that a gas pipe was already in place but had been disconnected. When he turned up he lifted a floor board and found where the pipe had been cut and capped within 2 minutes of being in the house. He reconnected the pipe ,connected up the cooker and said he send his bill. Total time on the job was 20 minutes (instead of the 3 hours for the original job). 12 months later a bill came through the door for 360, I called him up and asked why it had doubled. He told me it was a different job so that was the price for the job quoted, I asked how a job that took a lot less time and used a whole lot less supplies came to double the original job. He wouldn't answer and just said that I will have to pay that price. After telling him that i want a breakdown of my bill so I can speak to some other plumbers to see what they would quote and to speak to trading standards he decided that I would only need to pay 120 and in his words "It's obvious you need the money more than I do". The job that was done was done well it's just the trying to rip me off and the way he spoke after that got him the low rating and I will never use again.
