Rose & Crown

After the scampering, the Rose and Crown closed down and remained closed until a refit and reopening just before Christmas 2022. We sampled it then and weren't impressed. We gave it another chance last Saturday and again yesterday. Sad to say, its not a great experience. The refit lost the carpeted sections to wooden floors that add a level of reverb to the ambient noise. It lacks a sense of warmth and there's no feeling or enthusiasm about the place. It's ordinary and as a lover of it before closure, I'm disappointed.

Always good. A fantastic day spent with good friends in our own classic room. All the ingredients for a memory. Good food,drink and service with a giggle

A really lovely homely feeling pub. Incredibly friendly staff. Cheap beers in happy hour (3/ pint). Could take my dog in too after our walk
