Canmac Catering Equipment

The people involved at Canmac should be wearing masks - this is daylight robbery. They are scamming people while masquerading as a catering business. - Purchased a Taylor C606 combination ice cream / milkshake machine for 5,100 - Advised that the unit was fully tested and ice cream and milkshakes were dispensing in great working order - Item was shipped to me - We tested the item and milkshake mix was pouring out of the freezer door - how could this be, its all in working order right? Eh...no it was not in working order - there were close to no O-Rings and the ones which were there are so worn that they might as well have not been there...the main gasket sealing the freezer door was missing and therefore there is a 0% chance that this machine was tested as milkshake mix would have come out the door for them also. The pumps (the most important parts) are not from the C606 machine and are cheap knock offs of the official pumps which do not work - the pump doesn't work, how can it have been tested? They likely stripped and sold the official pumps as they retail for a lot of money second hand. The heat cycle also doesn't work and the freezer does not work correctly and the whole unit makes a loud buzzing noise. Spent more money on other parts and a service engineer just in case we were overlooking some things...and guess what - the machine is a dud, it will never work. They deny any responsibility - I have already contacted them and confirmed that this will not be tolerated and that I am now seeking legal channels. Hopefully others see these reviews before these scammers get a hold of their cash!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! SCAMMERS. I ordered a Foster G2 freezer from these people and they sent me the wrong one (completely different serial number). The obvious sign being that the door opened the wrong way, which was initially the main problem. They didn't offer to send me the right one, but instead said I should just change the door around myself, ignorant that the kit and cost of this would be extra for me. Finally got some of that money refunded but was very annoyed at them. After 2 weeks of having the freezer on, without anything in it, the freezer stopped working and emitted a bad smell. An independent engineer told me it would need a new capacitor and compressor and would cost more than half the value of the freezer to repair. The 2 month warranty was 1 week over and, as other reviews here suggest, the customer service of this company was very rude and non-responsive. I raised that consumer rights act: Namely the goods should be:Fit for the purpose the item was sold for Be of satisfactory quality Be as described in any advert, marketing materials or salesperson explanation These rights in the UK are defined in the Consumer Rights Act and cover any purchase from a trader made since October 2015. If you discover a fault with an item, this act gives you the right to return it for a full refund within the first 30 day of purchase. After the first 30 days (but within the first six months) you can still return the item, but you must give the retailer the opportunity to replace or repair the fault. This "retailer" showed complete disregard for the law and should not be trusted. They clearly rely on people not being determined enough to take their issues to court. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

The WORST company to have ever have ordered anything from!!!!! I have been chasing these guys for over a YEAR in regards to a beer fridge that we ordered and it arrived damaged and broken. After being put through to multiple people who barley speak English and quite clearly don't have a Customer Service/ Complaints team - I am still asking for a refund or a replacement to be sent out. Once contact was made, I was told I would have to pay for fuel & service charges of their courier to come and collect the fridge and deliver the new one - somehow I don't think that is right as I have never been asked to do this before from another company? I got told numerous times that the fridge I wanted was no longer in stock yet when I threatened legal action as they kept going back on their word, the original fridge I ordered magically arrived back in the warehouse. Disgusting company and complete scammers. Don't EVER order from these guys. Appalling !!!!!!
