Signed up as a driveway cleaner, on the 200 per month package. Found I had to fight all the other checkatrade members for the jobs, meaning I had to reduce my price to win to cover the 200 I already paid, even worse the jobs the sent on the app were mostly irrelevant for my setup. The only have a cleaning category, so could be interior or exterior. I told them I felt robbed and wanted to cancel. I had to pay 12 per month for the rest of the year and had to call monthly to be placed on the 12 break. I call to go on the break but there was no answer on a particular day, i then forgot to call once and had to pay the full 200 even thou I had already decided I wanted nothing to do with checkatrade. If you read this and are in need of instant work I recommend finding someone to build a website for you and do google ads till you are established. Checkatrade is a parasite firm.

Checkatrades verification process isnt fit for purpose. We had a rogue roofer recommended by checkatrade. Did an appalling job, overcharged by thousands of pounds, gave false address and phone numbers. Checkatrade have done virtually nothing to help. I will not use Checkatrade again and advice against anyone else using them

Contractor employed through Checkatrade has proven to be conn artists and prey on the vulnerable.
